Episode #08: Planting Seeds

Updated: Mar 30, 2021

We, Teachers of Littles have collectively had an enormous shift in gears over the past few weeks. We have suddenly moved from classroom to family support, and these shifts aren’t always easy. As parents are struggling to adapt and adjust, they are leaning on us more than ever, with new sets of challenges for us to help them navigate.

This week, we are chatting about saying goodbye to students we may not get to see again, embracing imperfection as we adjust to our new roles, and how we can support parents through some common new issues they are dealing with.

Gone are the struggles to get out the door in the morning!

Now parents are dealing with increasing meltdowns or, as I like to refer to them, thanks to a brilliant infographic by pediatric OT Katie Crosby, emotional releases. How can we support parents and help them empower their children in these situations?

As always, I’ve got you, Friends!

Join me in a cup of tea, and listen in as I share some effective, practical solutions with you -- how to “plant seeds,” step back, reconnect, and know when to reach out.

Give yourselves some grace, teachers of littles out there; it’s okay to ‘show up imperfectly’ as we work hard to support our littles and their families!

Need more in-depth solutions?

I am opening up a brand new workshop to address how to support families, through supporting their child’s learning and IEP goals, as we have shifted from a classroom setting to remote learning! Join in on Thursday, April 23rd, 2020 at 8pm EST. The cost of the workshop is $37 -- bring a friend, you pay half!
